Today we started our trip home back to Melbourne. Unlike previous National Rally’s, we were taking the TOURIST
route home and could leave at a leisurely pace and therefore were amongst the last to leave. Today even Dale came to breakfast to
bid farewell to those who hadn’t set out with the sparrows for a quick trip home. With goodbyes said to old and new friends we hit the road.
With Noeline's directions (she would say this only once!) 2 of our party headed off in the wrong direction when leaving the motel car park!

Our aim was to set off along the Stuart Highway via Nooriootpa and onward to Mildura. Some of the party then made a detour through Angaston but eventually we joined up and set off in earnest.
Long straight roads saw us heading towards the Victorian border and crossing the Murray river several times. We travelled through Renmark then on to Mildura for our overnight stay.
